THE PROCESS

Step 1: Discovery & Vision

Getting aligned before we design.

We start with a discovery call where I learn how you live in your space, what’s working, what’s not, and how you want the room to feel. This is where we talk lifestyle, functionality, budget range, and overall vibe — not just finishes.

You’ll share inspiration, must-haves, and any constraints, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to uncover what will make this space truly work for you.

Outcome: A clear design direction and shared vision before any selections are made.

Step 2: Concept Design

Big ideas first.

Based on our discovery, I create 3 distinct design concepts for your space. Each option offers a different interpretation of the vision, allowing you to explore styles, layouts, and materials without getting locked into one direction too early.

These concepts focus on:

  • Overall layout & flow

  • Key materials and finishes

  • Visual impact and balance

This step is intentionally exploratory — it helps you react, refine, and build confidence in the direction we choose together.

Outcome: One selected concept to move forward with.

Step 3: Design Refinement

Where your space comes to life.

Once a concept is chosen, we refine it through thoughtful adjustments based on your feedback. This may include:

  • Tile placement and patterns

  • Fixture and finish selections

  • Color and material balance

  • Practical details that improve daily use

At this stage, changes are strategic and intentional — fine-tuning rather than redesigning — ensuring the final plan feels cohesive, elevated, and tailored specifically to you.

Outcome: A finalized design plan you feel confident moving forward with.

Step 4: Final Selections & Documentation

Clarity for execution.

I provide a clear, organized set of selections so your contractor (or you) can execute the design smoothly. This may include:

  • Finish and material specs

  • Visual references

  • Placement guidance

The goal is to eliminate guesswork and ensure the finished space reflects the design we planned — no surprises.

Outcome: A ready-to-implement design roadmap.

Step 5: Ongoing Support or Peek-a-Boo Services (Optional)

A trusted second set of eyes.

If questions come up during ordering or installation, I’m available for hourly support to review changes, answer questions, or help troubleshoot decisions so everything stays aligned with the original vision. For clients who select our materials sourcing, builder consultation, or project management services, we remain involved through the completion of the space—so you can walk in to a finished home that feels effortless and unmistakably “wow.”

Peek-A-Boo Service offers discreet, ongoing design oversight for new build projects. With periodic reviews throughout construction, this service helps protect the integrity of your new build and ensures the final result reflects the original specifications and intent.

Outcome: Peace of mind during execution.

Current Project Example

Space: Guest Bathroom
Client Style: Bohemian Organic Modern
Desires: Update of guest bathroom in her 2nd home
Keeping: Vanity, vanity top, mirror, flooring, toilet
Home Location: Water views in Carolina Beach

Before:

This project features three distinct design options, brought to life through hyper-realistic renderings using sourceable materials to accurately represent the final space.

The Bold Bohemian

The Earthy Bohemian

The Beachy Bohemian

The three options are structurally similar by design. Keeping the same overall layout and tile continuity allows the room to feel larger and more cohesive, particularly by avoiding a visual break at the tub. The uninterrupted flow helps elongate the space rather than visually chopping it up.
Within that structure, the designs vary through material choice, pattern, and finish. I intentionally use pattern — especially behind the shampoo niche — as a focal point that adds interest without overwhelming the room. Each option also represents a different price point, allowing you to compare the same design concept across varying budgets.

Hi, I am Jenna…

I’ve been fortunate to live in some of the world’s most iconic places, and each has left a lasting imprint on how I design. London taught me the importance of blending old with new. Charleston showed me how pattern creates memorability and soul. Asheville revealed how art helps a space tell a story. And Hawaii opened my eyes to the expansive natural color palette of the world—and the grounding power of wood tones and organic materials. My personal design style blends seamlessly in Wilmington, NC with its coastal setting, historic homes, and effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
My designs are rooted in colors found in nature, with black used intentionally as an anchor. I aim to create spaces that feel distinctive and memorable without compromising long-term resale value. My goal is for someone to walk into a room and feel instantly wowed—in a quiet, sophisticated way.
I love mixing old with new, selecting patterns that leave a lasting impression, layering organic materials, and thinking critically about how a space will function for the family living in it. Having lived in many different homes and environments, I’ve also developed a deep appreciation for the quirks of real spaces—and the strategies needed to maximize their potential.
Before interior design, I founded a tech company and developed a strong background in coding. Those skills, combined with today’s AI-powered tools, allow me to deliver highly realistic design concepts that help clients truly see what’s possible. By blending my two passions—design and technology—I strive to make spaces feel not only beautiful, but deeply considered and lived-in.
